Terms and conditions

Welcome to Fooda Academy (fooda.academy), home of Mahmoud Fooda's courses on videography, lighting and filmmaking. By creating an account or buying a package you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

1. Your account

• You must be 13 or older.
• Give accurate details and keep your password safe. An account is for one person only.
• The number of devices you can sign in from is limited; you can see yours on the Devices page. An extra device stays locked until you ask for it and the team approves.

2. Your subscription and the content

• Buying a package gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to watch its courses for the subscription period shown on the package and on your order.
• All content (videos, files and quizzes) belongs to Fooda Academy and Mahmoud Fooda. A subscription doesn't give you ownership of it.
• Prices may change at any time, but a change never affects an order that's already paid.

3. Payment

• Online payments (cards, wallets, Fawry and more) go through Fawaterak; we never see or keep your card details.
• Manual transfers (InstaPay or Vodafone Cash) are activated once the team has checked the transfer screenshot.
• Coupons have their own conditions (dates, number of uses and which packages they apply to).
• You can get a full refund within 48 hours of paying if you haven't watched more than 5 lessons. The details are in the refund policy.

4. Fair use

You may not:

• Record, download, republish or sell the videos.
• Share your account, or try to get around the device limit or the video protection.
• Use the content in another course or product.

Videos carry a watermark with your name and email. Breaking these rules can get your account suspended, without a refund.

5. The community and portfolios

• Be respectful: no abuse, spam or advertising.
• Anything you upload must be your own work or something you have the right to share.
• Students' posts may wait for the team's approval, and the team can hide or remove anything against the rules, or mute or ban an account.
• Your portfolio is a public page and you're responsible for what's on it; the team can hide it if it breaks the rules.

6. Certificates

A certificate is issued when you finish every lesson and quiz of a course, and it has a public verification link. It can be revoked if it was obtained by breaking these terms.

7. Your reviews and work

If you send us a review or your work, we may use it to promote the platform. If you'd rather we didn't, tell us and we'll take it down.

8. Emails

Account and order emails always reach you. Community emails and reminders can be switched off in your settings or from the link in the email.

9. Availability

We work to keep the platform running, but it may be briefly unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

10. Limitation of liability

The courses are educational. We don't promise any particular income, job or result, and our liability is limited as far as the law allows.

11. Suspension

We may suspend or close any account that breaks these terms, without a refund in that case.

12. Changes

We may update these terms and will show the date of the last change on this page. Continuing to use the platform means you accept the new version.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
